Inova

Inova is a nonprofit healthcare provider serving Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The system operates five hospitals and more than 250 care sites spanning primary care, specialty practices, emergency and urgent care centres, and outpatient services. It employs more than 26,000 team members and serves more than 1 million unique patients a year across over 4 million annual visits.

Clinically, the network includes Northern Virginia's only Level 1 Trauma Center and its only Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, alongside emergency and trauma care, neonatal intensive care, primary care, specialty medicine and outpatient services. The organisation also works in population health and on the social drivers of health.

Community programmes form part of its operating model. Inova Cares clinics serve underserved populations, community health needs assessments guide local health initiatives, and the Dream B!G initiative supports workforce development. Inova was named 2025 Health System of the Year by Press Ganey and has been recognised nationally for safety, quality and patient experience.
