Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited (OCBC) is a banking and financial services group serving the Chinese diaspora and communities across Southeast Asia and Greater China. Founded in 1932, it was formed from the merger of three banks - Chinese Commercial Bank, Ho Hong Bank, and Oversea-Chinese Bank - whose own histories stretch back to between 1912 and 1919. The group is the second-largest financial services group in Southeast Asia by assets and serves millions of customers across the region.
OCBC provides full-service banking and financial services to individuals, communities and businesses, with a presence in Singapore and across ASEAN and Greater China. Its work spans banking, financial services and financial technology. The group's founding institutions were established during the Great Depression with a mission extending beyond profit: to enable the aspirations of the communities they served, drawing on an understanding of the particular challenges and ambitions of the Chinese diaspora.
That founding vision has been sustained for more than 90 years, through wars and economic upheavals. Now in its tenth decade of operation, OCBC continues to serve customers across Southeast Asia and Greater China.
