Macquarie Group

Macquarie Group is a global financial services organisation with Australian heritage. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Sydney, the group operates in 30 markets and employs more than 19,100 people. Its activities span asset management, retail and business banking, wealth management, advisory, and risk and capital solutions across debt, equity, financial markets and commodities.

The largest single business by assets, Macquarie Asset Management, manages approximately $A722.1 billion on behalf of clients and is supported by more than 190 portfolio companies operating across 33 markets. Those portfolio companies employ over 240,000 people, and more than 310 million people rely on the group's infrastructure investments each day.

Three further divisions cover the rest of the group's operations. Banking and Financial Services provides retail and business banking and wealth management. Commodities and Global Markets delivers risk and capital solutions across financial markets and commodities. Macquarie Capital offers advisory along with risk and capital solutions across debt and equity.
