Silicon Valley robotics firm founded in 2017 building AI-powered autonomous mobile robots and fleet software for hospitality and logistics, deployed in 20+ countries.

Bear Robotics, Inc. is a Silicon Valley robotics company founded in 2017 that develops AI-powered autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for the hospitality and logistics industries. The company was started by John Ha out of firsthand experience in restaurant operations, with a mission focused on reducing the physical demands of service work. Its robots operate across food service, warehousing and commercial settings in more than 20 countries, with over 16,000 units deployed.

The product line includes Servi, a robot for food service delivery in hospitality settings; the Carti series, for warehouse and logistics automation; and Servi Clean, for cleaning applications. These are underpinned by Bear Universe, the company's proprietary software platform, which provides distributed multi-robot control, remote fleet management and AI-powered navigation built on LiDAR, 3D cameras and intelligent mapping. The platform can orchestrate up to 1,000 robots in a single space with sub-centimetre navigation precision.

Technical work spans autonomous mobile robots, AI-powered navigation, distributed multi-robot control, remote fleet management, LiDAR, 3D computer vision, intelligent mapping and robotics software platforms. Geographic operations cover the United States, South Korea and Japan, alongside deployments in more than 20 countries.

In 2025, LG Electronics acquired a 51% stake in Bear Robotics. The company is integrated with LG's commercial robot business, with the stated aim of accelerating innovation.
