ISPTech
Germany-based company developing and supplying in-space propulsion systems for CubeSats, SmallSats and larger spacecraft, using green propellants, standard parts and additive manufacturing.
ISPTech, or InSpacePropulsion Technologies, is a Germany-based space propulsion company that develops and supplies in-space propulsion systems for the NewSpace sector. Its product line is aimed at a wide range of platforms, from CubeSats and SmallSats to larger spacecraft, and is built around non-toxic ("green") propellants, standard parts and additive manufacturing. The company states that its approach is designed to balance cost, robustness and rapid availability, and positions its systems as suitable for "every spacecraft, every mission".
The technical work spans propulsion system design, green and non-toxic propellant technology, additive manufacturing, and propulsion testing and integration. Production, integration and testing are carried out in-house, which the company says supports faster delivery. The firm reports more than 10 years of research and development experience and over 40 years of combined team experience in space propulsion.
ISPTech's foundations lie in research conducted at the DLR Institute of Space Propulsion. It serves customers in satellite and spacecraft manufacturing and the broader space and NewSpace industry from its base in Germany.
