Equity, formerly known as E²G | The Equity Engineering Group, is an engineering consultancy and software company serving the energy, petrochemical, chemical and heavy industrial processing sectors. Founded in 2002 by a group of 12 industry experts, it has since grown into an organisation of 180 employees with six subsidiaries. Its headquarters are in Shaker Heights, Ohio, with additional presence in Texas, California, Canada and other international locations.

The firm's work spans engineering consulting, inspection and asset management, corporate engineering standards, technical training and AI-enabled research. Its technical domains include instrumentation and controls, alarm management, electrical, mechanical and structural engineering, fitness-for-service, materials and corrosion, failure analysis, pressure relief, process technologies and rotating equipment. Teams combine practical engineering experience with technology to help clients manage industrial risk, control costs, improve equipment reliability and extend facility lifecycles.

Equity also develops cloud-native asset-integrity and engineering software, delivered through the Equity Engineering Cloud. The portfolio comprises eight named products: PlantManager, with its PlantManager ASSET and PlantManager SAGE modules, alongside IntelliJoint, SIMFLEX-IV, API RBI and SagePlus.
